Make.org

Make.org is a leading civic tech organisation dedicated to developing technology for the democratic good. Our mission is to create innovative technology solutions to reinvent governance. Founded in France in 2016, Make.org now operates at the European and international level, with offices in Brussels and Berlin.

In response to the weakening of democracy, citizens are more ready than ever to invest in serving the common good. At Make.org, we are committed to engaging civil society in the positive transformation of society. We believe that collective action by citizens, associations, businesses, institutions, and the media for the common good can decisively change our society, both nationally and across Europe. This will help rebuild a sustainable foundation for our democracy and institutions.

To support this movement, Make.org has created an independent and non-partisan platform designed to catalyse citizens' ideas and implement actions that will shape tomorrow’s society. We operate through the direct collection of proposals, awareness campaigns, and citizen involvement. Our large-scale consultation method can reach millions of people. Using this method, we initiate citizen consultations to address key societal issues. Based on the favoured ideas from these consultations, we collaborate with our partners (associations, businesses, institutions, media) to create action plans implemented by our endowment fund, Make.org Foundation.

We support public authorities and local communities in their participatory democracy initiatives and organise major citizen debates ahead of key democratic events (local, national, and European elections) in collaboration with the media. Additionally, we assist companies and organisations in carrying out participatory transformations within their ecosystems.

Our goal is to ensure that the voices of citizens are heard and that their ideas lead to tangible changes. By fostering a culture of active participation and collaboration, Make.org aims to build a stronger, more resilient democratic society for the future.
